‘Nun’ Rhymes with ‘Fun’: Aspen Community Theater Presents Nunsense

Looking for something to do this weekend? How about a locally produced, locally acted, locally staged off-Broadway musical?

Aspen Community Theater delivers for the 38th year with its fall production, Nunsense, a musical comedy about five nuns who put on a variety show to raise funds for the burial of their sisters, who died from eating bad vichyssoise soup. Hilarious, chock full of catchy tunes and Catholic jokes, Nunsense opens Friday night at the Wheeler and runs through November 16.

“It’s a lot of fun,” says producer Rita Hunter. “And you don’t have to be a Catholic to appreciate the humor of a nun.”
