‘Talking Dirt’ adds real estate voices to radio landscape

The segment starts with an upbeat musical intro (“Our House” by English ska band Madness) — then the voices of BJ Adams & Company brokers Casey Slossberg and Michelle Sullivan come on, in a lighthearted, witty rapport with KNFO radio host David Bach. It’s “Talking Dirt,” the newest local radio show on 106.1 — part of “Bach Talk” — and it’s all about the valley real estate scene, plus local issues that pertain to real estate, the latest statistics, gossip and happenings, and whatever the hot development or real estate topics du jour are.

Talking Dirt” airs every Friday from 3:30 to 4 pm, on KNFO 106.1 FM. Continue reading

Snowmass launches informative video series on Council business

Anyone who has tried to wade through elected officials’ meeting materials knows that it takes some familiarity with the language of bureaucracy to understand them. So for those who want to keep up on what’s going on, but are put off or confused by the “codespeak,” the Town of Snowmass Village has come up with a solution.

“What’s Coming Up for Council” is a new online video series in which interim Town Manager Gary Suiter and Communications Director Kelly Vaughn discuss the upcoming Council agenda — in layman’s terms. Continue reading

Winter biking options getting fatter

Fat biking is all the rage in Aspen this winter, and it’s even got its own set of events at Wintersköl, Aspen’s annual toast to winter.

The inaugural Fat Cycle Challenge, free fat bike demos, and a town ride on the specialized bicycles with oversized tires are all on tap for this Saturday, January 11 in Aspen (see below or click here for a calendar of events). Continue reading
